Yabby Edge 4G - Certifications List

The list below covers the certifications which the Yabby Edge 4G has.

EMC Certification

EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) testing ensures that the Yabby Edge 4G doesn't emit excessive amounts of electromagnetic interference (known as radiated and conducted emissions) and that the device continues to function as intended in the presence of several electromagnetic phenomena according to regulated standards.

Safety Test Certification

The tests report shows the various safety tests carried out on the device and that the devices comply with Safety regulations according to the following specifications: IEC 62368-1:2014 (Second edition) and EN 62368-1:2014 + A11: 2017.

CE RED

The Yabby Edge 4G has undergone this test to ensure that the radio equipment/device adheres to the requirements set by the 2016/53/EU standards and that it satisfies the essential requirements for safety and health, electromagnetic compatibility, efficient, and legal use of the radio spectrum.

ACMA Certification

The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) Certification is a mandatory requirement for devices connecting to the mobile phone network. The Report shows compliance of the Yabby Edge device  to the applicable mandatory standards specified within the ACMA Telecommunications (Labelling Notice for Customer Equipment and Customer Cabling) Instrument 2015; also known as the TLN.

RoHS Certification

The RoHS2 Directive, 2011/65/EU, restricts the use of lead and other potentially hazardous substances including Cadmium, Mercury Chromium VI, PBBs and PBDEs contained in electrical and electronic products. RoHS limits these substances to 0.1% or 1,000 ppm (except for cadmium, which is limited to 0.01% or 100 ppm) by weight of homogenous material.

FCC Certification

Required in the US.

PTCRB Approved

PTCRB defines the test requirements for verifying compliance with global industry standards for wireless cellular devices. The rigorous certification process ensures only quality devices have access to the nation's largest and fastest networks, and instills confidence in the Yabby Edge's interoperability with wireless networks.

IP Rating

The Yabby Edge housing is IP68 rated, which ensures that the device can withstand  fine dust, high-pressure spray, submersion for 30 minutes in 1m of water, and extreme temperatures.

IK Rating

The Yabby Edge has an IK06 rated housing which means the housing is protected against 1 joules of impact, equivalent to an impact of 0.250kg mass dropped from 400mm above the impacted surface.

ICASA

Required in South Africa.
